Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda was involved in a car crash on Sunday along the Daura–Katsina highway, with details surrounding the incident remaining unclear. The governor is currently hospitalized but is reported to be in stable condition.
According to a statement from his spokesperson, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the accident was described as “a minor road incident” that occurred while Governor Radda was on official duty. The statement assured the public that the governor did not sustain serious injuries and is in good health.
“We are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition,” the statement read. “Governor Radda remains in high spirits and is grateful to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as to Katsina citizens and well-wishers for their prayers and concern.”
Shortly after the statement, Mr. Mohammed shared a video on Facebook showing the governor, who confirmed he was “hale and hearty” but still undergoing treatment. In the video, Radda expressed his gratitude for the support and prayers from the public.

He succeeded former Governor Aminu Bello Masari, focusing his administration on security, youth empowerment, and economic development in Katsina State.
