The Rivers State Police says the command have arrested four suspected armed robbers and kidnappers.
The Public Relations Officer of the Command,SP Grace Iringee Koko disclosed that on 8th August 2025, at about 11:30hrs, a team of operatives from Bori Division, while on routine patrol along Nkpee Street, Bori, acted swiftly upon receiving a distress call regarding the suspicious activities of unknown persons in the area.
SP Stated that the operatives apprehended the following suspects:
1. Solomon Chris (Male, 26 years)
2. Fabulous John (Male, 26 years)
3. Wisdom Kalongo (Male, 30 years)
4. Wisdom Samuel (Male, 33 years)
Items recovered from the suspects include:
• One locally-made revolver pistol
• One live ammunition
• Quantity of hard drugs (loud)
• Criminal charms
• One ash-coloured Toyota Sienna vehicle, Registration No. BNY-758FS
The Rivers Police Spokesperson said the suspects are currently in custody, and investigation is ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang and recover more of their operational weapons.
The statement added that the Rivers State Police Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and calls on members of the public to continue to provide timely and useful information to the police.
