Rivers CP List Command Challenge as Land Grabbing, Cultism, And Kidnapping

The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State has listed land grabbing, cultism, and kidnapping as major challenges of the command.
The Commissioner of Police made the disclosure in a forum in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, during Citizens Engagement On Police Reform In Nigeria-South South.
The Rivers Police Chief disclosed that the Police Command, under his supervision, is seriously addressing the issue of land grabbing.
“The Police protect the bailiff, whose duty is to execute the court Judgment, not the respondents or defendants.When such an order comes from the court, we will forward it to our legal department to check whether it is genuine.
“Aside from the Judgment from the court, we still insist on the order of execution of the Judgment from the Court,” CP Adepoju stated.
On the menace of cultism and kidnapping, the Rivers Police Boss stated that cultism is not a child’s play.
“We have a dedicated team and support from Police headquarters, Abuja, tackling the issue of cultism and kidnapping”.
CP Adepoju encouraged citizens to be friendly to the Police as society cannot do without the Police.
