Eno Nominates 3 Former Federal Lawmakers, 24 Others in Commissioners, Special Advisers’ List

Three former House of Representative members, Mr Aniekan Umana, Mr Nsikak Ekong, and Henry Archibong, a medical doctor, were among the 27 commissioners/ Special Advisers’ nominees sent to the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly by Governor Umo Eno for confirmation.
The Governor, in a message titled GHU/AKS/S/104/VOL.XII/145, dated 10 February 2025 and addressed to the Speaker, Rt. Hon . Udeme Otong urged the Lawmakers to confirm the list of the 27 nominees.

Nsikak Ekong (Ikot Ekpene), Comrade Ini Emem Obong (biono Ibom), Hon. Frank Archibong (Eket), Mr Paul Bassey-( -(Eket), Dr Offiong Samuel Ofor (Ini), DrAnietie Udofia (Uyo), Rt. Hon. The lawmakers received the Governor’s message following a motion moved by the Chief Whip, Rt. Hon. Sir Effiong Johnson, seconded by the member representing INI State Constituency, Hon. Lawrence Udoide.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Udeme Otong mandated the House Committee on Judiciary, Justice, Human Rights, and Public Petitions, Chaired by Hon. Anefiok Attah, to screen the nominees and report back to the House within one week.
