Rivers Political Crisis: Governor Fubara Schedules Meeting Amaewhule, 26 Others
The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has fixed a meeting with Martins Amaewhule and twenty-six House of Assembly members at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10th, 2025, at the Governor’s Office in Government House.
In a letter dated 7th March 2025 and addressed to Rt. Hon. Martins Amaewhule, Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, which Secretary wrote to the Rivers State Government, Tammy Danagogo, disclosed that in furtherance of His Excellency’s promise stated in a letter dated 5 March 2025 to notify the RSHA that the Governor has received the Supreme Court Judgment.
Mr Danagogo stated that the Governor has therefore directed him to invite Martins and his colleagues – the Honorable members of Rivers State House of Assembly, to a meeting to discuss, Provision of a befitting space for the Assembly’s sittings, Payment of all outstanding remuneration or allowances of the Honorable members; Presentation of Budget and sundry matters; and Any other matter(s), as may be necessary, to chart the way forward in the best interest of the State.
