Fubara Makes Public Appearance Five Days After Suspension

On Sunday, the suspended Governor of Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, attended a special prayer, worship and thanksgiving service at Salvation Ministries Headquarters, GRA, Port Harcourt.

This marks his first public appearance since his suspension was announced on Tuesday, ending speculations of his whereabouts.

The Governor was accompanied by top politicians, major stakeholders, elders and leaders of the state, and associates.

Among those who accompanied the Governor were his Chief of Staff, Dr Edison Ehie, the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator John Azuta Mbata, the former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Dr Sam Sam Jaja, Chief Oris Onyiri, Chief Mike Elechi, and Chief David Briggs.

Others include Dr Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja, Amaopusenibo Fubara Hart, Chief Theodore Georgewill, Hon Kingston Sylvanus, former Mayor of Port Harcourt City, Hon Ezebunwo Ichemati, former Ikwerre Local Government Council Chairman, Hon Israel Abosi, former Emohua Local Government Council Chairman, Chief David Omereji, and former Andoni Local Government Chairman, Victor Ere, among others.

Our correspondent reports that the church’s General Overseer, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, led a special prayer session for the suspended governor shortly after the service.
