Alausa Tolani Assumes Duty As AIG Zone 16

On April 2, 2025, Assistant Inspector General of Police AIG Alausa Hakeem Tolani assumed duty as the new AIG in charge of Zone 16 headquarters, Yenagoa.
Spokesperson for Zone 16 Police Command, SP Gunn Emonena in a statement said upon the recent promotion to Deputy Inspector general of Police (DIG), DIG AA Hamzat, and posting, IGP Kayode Egbetukon, has appointed AIG Alausa Hakeem Tolani, as the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 16 Command Headquarters, Yenagoa.
AIG Alausa Hakeem Tolani was commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police on 18th May 1992. He is a graduate of Political science. He is a seasoned Officer of repute.
In the course of his career as a Police officer, the AIG has served in different capacities in all echelons of the Nigeria Police Force and internationally.
Until his recent posting to the Zone as the 10th Zonal Commander, AIG Alausa Hakeem Tolani was the immediate past Commissioner of Police, Police Account and Budget (PAB) Force Headquarters in Abuja.
He also served as Commissioner of Police Training, Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State command.
“The Zonal Police headquarters hereby beseech the full cooperation and support of the good people of Bayelsa and Rivers State to enable him bring to bear his all-encompassing knowledge and proven skills in Policing in line with the Inspector General of Police Agenda”, SP Emonena said.
