Abuja Police Command clarifies death of retired Comptroller General
The Public relations officer of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command, Abuja, SP Josephine Adeh, has responded to the death of retired Comptroller General David Parradang through a press release on Tuesday, February 4 2025.
The command debunked the ongoing reports alleging that the retired Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang, was kidnapped and subsequently killed.
However, the public relations officer informed that on March 3, 2025, at approximately 12:00 PM, Mr. Parradang arrived at Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction, where he checked into the hotel and paid twenty-two thousand naira (N22,000) for one night’s stay.
It was discovered that thereafter, he directed the hotel room attendant to escort a female guest who had come to visit to his room. This lady left the hotel premises around 04:00 PM on the same day.
But then, Mr. Parradang did not exit his room after the lady left. It was disclosed that today, a friend of a concerned military officer traced him to the hotel. Upon arrival, the hotel receptionist and the officer proceeded to the deceased’s room, where he was found deceased.
The alarm was raised, and the Durumi Police Station was notified. Officers promptly deployed at the scene, secured the area, took photographs, and collected all relevant evidence to preserve the integrity of the crime scene.
It was also noted that the body of the deceased was transferred to the National Hospital for necessary procedures. It was also noted that the hotel staff worked together with the police to ensure proper investigation and arrest of the lady.
The public command further urged the public and media outlets to take down any unverified circulation surrounding the death of the deceased.
The FCT Police Command further reassured its commitment to conducting a thorough investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding Mr. Parradang’s death.
