The President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comrade Solomon Adodo, has commended Governor Umoh Eno of Akwa Ibom State for his decision to align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
In a statement issued in Uyo on Monday, Adodo described the Governor’s stance as a reflection of responsible leadership that places the prosperity and dignity of the people above all else. He praised Governor Eno’s commitment to securing a brighter future for the state, noting that his alignment with the federal government’s agenda signals a readiness for positive transformation.
Adodo emphasized that the Governor’s move is not driven by political motives but by a deep understanding of the state’s developmental needs. He stated that Governor Eno’s decision places Akwa Ibom at the center of Nigeria’s journey toward renewed hope, growth, and greatness. He described it as a bold and courageous step that demonstrates a determination to align with national progress for the benefit of the people.
He also lauded President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for its impact on economic reforms, infrastructure development, security, and youth empowerment. He called on the President to fast-track the completion of the Ibom Deep Seaport Project, highlighting its potential to create employment, stimulate industrial growth, and contribute significantly to national economic recovery. Adodo stressed that Akwa Ibom’s future as an industrial and maritime hub should not be delayed.
He further commended the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for his exemplary leadership and efforts in ensuring Akwa Ibom aligns with the Federal Government’s progressive direction.
The NYCN urged Governor Eno to remain committed to good governance, support the creativity and enterprise of Akwa Ibom youth, and collaborate with stakeholders to sustain President Tinubu’s transformative vision.
