The Divine Children Home in Atan Offot, Uyo, has received food donations from CP Baba Mohammed Azare, the Commissioner of Police for the Akwa Ibom State Police Command.
DSP Timfon John, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, stated in a statement released in Uyo on Wednesday that the gesture is intended to promote the children’s welfare.
The donation further demonstrates the Police Command’s dedication to building strong community ties and providing care for its most vulnerable members, the statement added.
“The Command showed their dedication beyond law enforcement by presenting a generous donation of food items to support the well-being of the children residing at the home,” the statement says.
The Police Command’s commitment to building strong ties within the community and providing care to its most vulnerable members is demonstrated by this gesture.
“After receiving the donations, Miss Emenebong Okokon, the caretaker of the Divine Children Home, conveyed her sincere appreciation to the Commissioner of Police and the entire Akwa Ibom State Police Command for their generosity and kindness.
She prayed fervently for God Almighty’s continued protection and blessings on the Commissioner as well as all of the Command’s officers and staff.
“This visit exemplifies the Akwa Ibom State Police Command’s understanding of their role as not only protectors but also as compassionate members of the community.
“The Command remains committed to initiatives that uplift and support the welfare of all residents, particularly those in need,”it added.
