Rivers Police Condemns Attack On Journalists, Commences Investigation.

The Rivers State Police Commissioner has condemned the assault on journalists during a recent protest, confirming that an investigation is underway. SP Grace Iringe Koko, spokesperson for the Commissioner, stated that some personnel have been identified and are currently being questioned. The Police Commissioner emphasized the importance of journalists in promoting peace and development and assured the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) that the matter would be handled seriously. “Upon the conclusion of the investigation, the findings and measures will be made public,” Koko said.
