Pro-Tinubu group Progressives Think-Thank, which is working on a special publication on President Bola Tinubu’s accomplishments, has criticized the way information managers in various ministries and extra-ministerial offices are hiding information about the President’s accomplishments.
According to a statement released to reporters on Wednesday and signed by its deputy project lead, Ms. Christiana Titus, the Group expressed its deep concern over a situation in which some civil servants are purposefully hiding important information about the accomplishments and advancements made by their respective ministries under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s direction. Such acts are a covert means of inciting the populace against the government, seriously harming the public and the institutions they support, and undermining the values of accountability and transparency that are the cornerstones of good governance.
According to Titus, the purpose of civil service is to provide impartial, professional, and honest services to the public. All civil servants are expected to act in the public interest by making sure that government policies, accomplishments, and service enhancements are conveyed truthfully and promptly. The credibility of our democratic institutions is damaged, interagency cooperation is hampered, and public trust is undermined when this information is concealed.

She also urged the relevant oversight bodies to conduct thorough investigations into these incidents and hold those found responsible accountable in accordance with the law and civil service regulations.
Titus stated, “Furthermore, we urge all ministries and government departments to strengthen internal communication protocols, promote an open culture, and reinforce the ethical standards expected of all public officers.” Our citizens deserve complete transparency and an unwavering commitment to service.
