The All Progressives Congress (APC), Edo State chapter has inaugurated a 3-Man Committee to superintend its council election primary scheduled to hold Friday, 3 March, 2026.
The 3-Man Committee will superintend the primary in each of the 18 local Government Councils across the State.
The Party stated this in a press statement by its State Publicity Secretary, Peter Uwadiae-Igbinigie and availed journalists in Benin on Thursday.
The State secretariat shall serve as the final collation centre for all the results across the State with an election primary committee on ground to so collate, the party said.
“The All Progressives Congress, Edo state Chapter profoundly wishes to inform its members and the general public that the party’s primary to elect the Local Government Chairmanship and councillorship candidates is scheduled today, the 3rd day of April, 2026.
“In furtherance of our democratic philosophy and to deepen transparency and inclusivity, the party has inaugurated a 3-man Election committee for each of the 18 local government areas to superintend and conduct the said Elections.
“In adherence with the ideological principles of a transparent process, the State secretariat shall serve as the final collation centre for all the results across the State with an election primary committee on ground to collate.”
