The Edo State Government, through its Ministry of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Walkfront African Network (WAN), has agreed to undertake a series of capacity-building initiatives designed to equip small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMES) in Edo State with essential digital competencies.

The initiative for MSMES was deliberated during WAN’s courtesy visit to the Ministry in Benin City, where the functioning Permanent Secretary, Mr. Ukpebor Jonathan (JP), articulated the Ministry’s core mandate to include harnessing emerging technologies across all sectors of the economy to foster sustainable societal development.

Asserting that science and technology drive the global economy, Mr. Ukpebor reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to collaborating with private-sector entities that share in the Ministry’s vision of empowering both young people and senior citizens.
