Edo State Govt. Collaborates With IPMAN To Enhance Product Sustainability and Availability

The Edo State Government through its Ministry of Mining has networked with the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) towards enhancing and stabilizing the oil and gas Sector in the State.
Speaking, the Commissioner for Mining, Hon. Andrew Ijegbai reiterated the commitment of the State Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo to the yearnings of the residents of the state such as challenges faced by premium motor spirit (PMS) marketers.
Hon. Ijegbai assured IPMAN’s representatives that the issue of corroded pipelines would be tabled before the state governor, noting that there ought not to be inconsistencies in the supply of PMS considering the presence of facilities to harbour products at the Benin Depot.
He then urged the Association to cooperate in investigating accurate information on the Depot and pipelines.
He further requested that the marketers to cooperate with the government in y he campaign against pipeline vandalism as well as reflecting fair prices of products.
In an attempt to achieve the stated goals, the Commissioner proposed a partnership between the marketers and the State Government to provide space for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion centres and dispensing stations, maintaining that the partnership would benefit CNG investors and PMS marketers alike.
