Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Benue State on Documentation, Research, and Planning, Dr. Mkor Aondona, for alleged sextortion and cyber bullying.
He was apprehended on Friday, June 20, 2025, in Makurdi following petitions from female students who accused him of unethical and criminal behavior, including sexual exploitation, cyber bullying, and blackmail.
According to the petitioners, Aondona allegedly recruited slim and attractive young women for ushering jobs but demanded sexual favors as a condition for their selection. They claimed that although they gave in to his demands under pressure, he secretly recorded the sexual encounters without their consent.
He was further accused of using the recordings to threaten and coerce the victims into continuing sexual relations with him. In some cases, he allegedly distributed the explicit videos through various messaging platforms, with reports indicating that some of the footage is already in circulation.
The EFCC has confirmed that the suspect will be charged to court soon.
