Embrace Phase-2 of Renewed Hope Employment Initiative- NDE Urges A/Ibom Youths

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has encouraged Akwa Ibom youths to register for the second phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI).

The second phase of the initiative is designed to empower unemployed and unskilled Nigerians with marketable skills.

This was contained in a statement by the Akwa Ibom State Coordinator of NDE, Mrs Uduak Essien and made available to Blueprint in Uyo on Sunday.

According to the statement, the registration is open from July 28 to August 11, 2025, and prospective applicants are urged to use the official NDE portal to avoid fraud.It noted that interested persons are required to upload their valid National Identity Number (NIN) and recent passport photograph on the registration portal.The statement noted that 21,782 individuals across the country will be trained in various skills, including vocational, agricultural, digital, and entrepreneurial skills.

It further noted that successful trainees will receive soft loans to commence small or medium-scale businesses.

The statement reads, “In line with the Renewed Hope agenda of His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Directive of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) Headquarters, Akwa Ibom State NDE, as well as NDE Nationwide is set to commence the second phase of the RENEWED HOPE EMPLOYMENT INITIATIVE (RHEI).

“In this phase, the Federal Government is targeted at training 21,782 (Twenty One Thousand, Seven Hundred and Eighty Two) unskilled and unemployed persons across Nigeria on marketable skills ranging from Vocational, Agricultural, Digital and Entrepreneurial to Public Works Sector, using over 30 different skill sets.”While supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda, the NDE’s job creation initiative also intend to provide start-up capital, equipment and working tools to some of the participants as soft loans at the end of the training to commence small or medium scale businesses.

“Eligible candidates for the second phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative includes the following: persons within the age bracket of 18-40 years, school drop-outs, unemployed graduates, unskilled persons.
Registration into the employment programme is strictly online.””Interested persons should log on to NDE website at www.nde.gov.ng or www.nderegistrationportal.ng and register with a valid National Identity Number (NIN) and a recent passport photograph.
Online registration commences Monday, 28th July and ends Monday, 11th August, 2025,” it added.
