The Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC in Rivers, has told students of the Police Comprehensive College that hard work pays.
The Chairman of PCRC in Rivers State, Voke Emore, made the disclosure on Monday, May 26th, 2025, in celebration of Children’s Day with students of Police Comprehensive College and over 19 schools in Port Harcourt ahead of May 27th, 2025.
“Today, we are here celebrating the children in our own way in the Police Comprehensive School.As you can notice, we don’t have only the Police Comprehensive school here present, we have other schools, Government and private schools inclusive.
“We want them know that hard work pays.There is dignity in ln labour.
“Artificial lntelligence,Al is the next big thing in the world and we want the children of this generation to be pioneers of Al in Nigeria.Nigeria has to move with the world.The children has to know the foundation of Al and if they want to advance,they can also advance.
“We also talked about those that want to participate in other careers” Mr Emore said.
Commandant of the Police Comprehensive College, CSP Rosemary Babatunde, said, “We have come to teach and mentor our children. We have come to let them know that there are certain things they need to do to be successful in life.
“Knowledge is achieved through discipline here.I urge you to learn and pick something that will better and benefit you tomorrow.”
A Nollywood actress, Kate Ezeigbo in her speech said
“All you need to succeed is the right mindset. Who are you listening to? Who are you talking to? Growing up, there are people you must learn from. Failing is not the problem; the problem is the ability to stand up.If you can only listen to you teacher and parents, you will get it right.
“You need a lot of discipline,You need a positive mind set of I can do all things to succeed”.
Earlier, the student representative of Police Comprehensive College took first place in the spelling competition, CSS Nkpolu took second, and CSS Mg uoshimini took third.
