Engr. Ubong Idemudo, a philanthropist and national leader of the Progressive People’s Resolution (PPR), has received the Harbinger of Academic Excellence in Africa award.
This recognition acknowledges Idemudo’s transformative contributions to education and youth empowerment across the continent.
The award was presented during a ceremony in Abuja, in partnership with the Education Students’ Association of Nigeria, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria Chapter, and delegates from various tertiary institutions.
In his acceptance remarks, Engr. Idemudo dedicated the accolade to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, GCON; and other patriotic Nigerian leaders.
The National Patron of Remi Tinubu support organisation urged students to remain trustworthy, peaceful, and optimistic, saying, “Believe in Nigeria. As future leaders, your values, vision, and voice will shape the destiny of this great country.”
Student leaders hailed Idemudo as a mentor and visionary, citing his philanthropic work through the Ubonh Idemudo Foundation and educational initiatives.
According to them, “His work is a blueprint for future-forward educational development.”
The PPR National Directorate of Media and Publicity in a statement on Monday in Uyo, described the honour as a testament to the group’s commitment to youth development, education, and national transformation.
The Harbinger of Academic Excellence in Africa Award is considered one of the highest accolades bestowed by student bodies upon individuals championing educational advancement on the continent.
