Okpebholo Commiserates with Kogi Governor, APC Chairman over Parents’ Passing

The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has extended his condolences to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo, and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, on the loss of their parents.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Fred Itua, Governor Okpebholo described the passing of a parent as one of life’s deepest pains, urging the bereaved families to find comfort in the lasting legacies of their loved ones.

He extolled the virtues of Governor Ododo’s late father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, noting his life of faith, discipline, and commitment to family and community. Similarly, he praised the late Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of the APC National Chairman, for her selfless service and enduring role as a pillar of strength to her family.

Governor Okpebholo prayed that Almighty Allah grants Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo Al-Jannah Firdaus and entrusted the soul of Mama Lydia Yilwatda to God’s eternal rest.

He further prayed for divine comfort and strength for the Ododo and Yilwatda families to bear their irreparable loss, stressing that the lives of service and sacrifice exemplified by their parents should remain an inspiration to generations.
