Police Confirm Death of Lovers In Port Harcourt From Inhalation Of Generator Fume

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the mysterious death of a lady known as Peace and her male lover in the Town axis of Port Harcourt Rivers State on Saturday, 22nd March 2025.
Public Relations Officer of the Rivers Police Command, SP Grace Iringe Koko stated that they may have died as a result of inhalation of generator fume.
The Police Image Maker disclosed that the matter was reported to the Central Police Station(CPS) in the town of Port Harcourt.
Security sources told our reporter that the lady identified as Peace, and her male lover took their generator inside the passage close to their room at night when they were about to go to bed
The source revealed that neighbours in the compound, on Saturday, noticed that the lovers did not come out of their room after daybreak, which aroused curiosity of co-tenants who forced the room open and discovered the bodies of the lovers.
We learnt that some of the neighbours went to Central Police Station (CPS) in town, Port Harcourt, to make an official report, and detectives from CPS, who were dispatched to the scene, retrieved the corpses of the lovers and brought them to the station before they proceeded to the undisclosed mortuary to deposit the corpse.
