River: Sole Administrator Announces Suspension Of Political Office Holders And Appointees In Rivers

The sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral (RTD) Ibok Ibas CFR, has announced the suspension of political office holders and appointees in the state.
In a statement on Wednesday, 26th March 2025, he stated that the Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff, Honorable Commissioners, Chairmen, and Members of all Boards, Councils, Agencies, Commissions, and Parastatals be dissolved.
Ibas further stated that their suspension takes effect immediately from Wednesday, March 26, 2025, and affected officers are to report to the permanent Secretaries in their MDAs, in the absence of any, up to the most Senior director or head of Administration.
