Rivers Security Agencies Strengthen Collaboration on Crime-Fighting

The Rivers State Police Command and the Nigerian Airforce 115 Operations group in Port Harcourt have emphasised the need to strengthen their collaboration in crime fighting and intelligence gathering areas.
This emphasizes was made when the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, and his management team paid a courtesy visit to Commodore A. H. Idris of the Nigerian Air Force, Port Harcourt, on Wednesday, 5th February 2025.
Spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, Superintendent of Police, SP Grace Iringe disclosed that during the visit, the Commissioner of Police expressed his gratitude to the Commodore for the warm reception accorded to him and his team. He emphasised that the purpose of the visit was to strengthen the existing collaboration between the Police and the Nigerian Air Force in the fight against crime and criminality in the state.
The Commissioner of Police also called for enhanced intelligence sharing among state security agencies and proposed joint training exercises between the Police and the military whenever necessary.
Commodore Idris, who had earlier welcomed and congratulated the Commissioner of Police on his new position, commended the Police for their skills and strategic efforts in combating crime. He assured the CP of the Nigerian Air Force’s continued support in fostering a cordial working synergy and wished him success in his duties.
