Ahead of the forthcoming local government council elections in Rivers State, the Chairman of the National Agency for the Great Green Wall (NAGGW), Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state is strong, united, and prepared to deliver the dividends of democracy at the grassroots.
Speaking at the flag-off campaign rally held at Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic in Port Harcourt, Abe urged the party’s chairmanship and councillorship candidates to work hard to ensure victory at the polls.
He emphasized that the APC in Rivers is consolidating as a united front, urging all stakeholders with the state’s interest at heart to join hands in securing the party’s success.
“Rivers State is on the move, Rivers State is united, Rivers APC is coming together as one and everybody who has the interest of Rivers State is onboard. Anybody who is not onboard with us but busy going around media houses to declare themselves as parallel leaders of this party are wasting their time,” Abe said.
He also commended the state chairman of the party, Chief Tony Okocha, and members of the state executive for successfully conducting what he described as a flawless primary election, which produced credible candidates the party is proud to support in the forthcoming elections.
