Nigerian Police Rejects $17,000 Bribe, Arrests Organ Harvesters

The Zone 16 Police Command on Saturday, 7th December 2024, paraded three suspects who allegedly specialize in organ harvesting, ritual killing, illicit hard drugs, and fraudulent activities.
Recall that the 9th Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 16 Police Command, AIG Adebola.A. Hamzat, on assumption of office, assured the citizens of the zone of his zero tolerance for corruption and would ensure all officers and men of the zone are up and doing in the fight against crime, and protect the lives and properties of the citizens.
Confirming the incident, SP Gun said the Zonal Financial & Cybercrime unit led by SP Sentome Obi and team, based on credible intelligence, stormed Rumukparali Community in Obio/Akpo LGA of Rivers State and arrested three suspects, namely Mr. Billion Ndubuisi, 28years, Mr Charles Amachree and Mr Martins Chinemike 21years who specialize in organ harvesting, ritual killing, illicit hard drugs, and fraudulent activities.
SP Emonena stated that in the course of the conscientious investigation, suspects confessed to having impersonated Ryam Bill, a US-based luminary, and defrauded one St. Andrea and Charlen Zielinsky to the tune of 71,500 Dollars ( $71,500)
The Zone 16 Police Command Image Maker disclosed that during the execution of a search in their premises, the following items were recovered from them;
Canadian and Ghana loud, Wraps of illicit hard drug suspected to be cannabis, two laptops, three Android phones, two Samsung phones, five phones, one white M/Benz Jeep with Reg no. ABM418FA One Lexus IS 250 car with Reg. no. LSD383H
“The suspects, through their agent, offered the sum of 17,000 Dollars ($17,000) bribe, which our well-trained reformed officers rejected. The money is registered and will be tendered as exhibits in court.
“The AIG Zone 16 command AIG AA Hamzat has reiterated his personnel’s dedication to protecting the lives and property of citizens within his jurisdiction and the country at large,” SP Emonena said.
