Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the nomination of Hon. Ayewoh Oyakilome as Executive Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB.
The nomination was announced in a Government Special Announcement dated August 10, 2026, signed by the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq.
The statement described Ayewoh as a dedicated politician and public administrator with a strong passion for effective leadership.
It said he is committed to promoting policies and initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of education and improving learning outcomes across Edo State.
Until his nomination, Ayewoh served as Executive Chairman of the Edo State Rural Access Roads Agency, RARA, where he contributed to the administration and implementation of government programmes aimed at improving rural connectivity and infrastructure.
His name will now be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation.
